Inner Circle: Omayma Ramzy
Tell us about Omayma Skin and how it began
Omayma Skin began through my own exploration of my Egyptian and Middle Eastern culture in beauty and skincare as a way to bring together my heritage and Consciously Clean Beauty & healthy, glowing skin.
Favorite beauty hack?
Oil under everything. It’s my go to. Oil every day, under SPF. It’s a minimum or part of a maximum routine. I use my facial oil for everything to be honest! I use it on my own skin every morning and night, and then use it in my nail beds, the ends of my hair, to do a lymphatic facial gua sha massage, a few drops in my bath, you name it.
What is your skincare philosophy?
My skincare philosophy is hydration hydration hydration! I’m a believer in adding hydration into the skin at every level, as well as of course the incredible power of botanicals to further hydrate, nourish and protect.
What other practices do you have that support you feeling your best?
I believe self care is important in every way and every day. I have so many supplements that I love and adore to add wellness to my morning. I’m a Seed Believer and I’ll never be found without a packet of AG1 in my bag for on the go. I do my best to drink 3-4 liters of water a day, and always add Surpo Amino Hydrate electrolytes to my water whenever I remember. I like to focus my food on gut health and high fiber, vitamin & mineral-rich foods that reduce inflammation and keep e feeling balanced. Then last but most certainly not least, I just feel *so* much better when I get to work out. I have a peloton and get in a 30-45 minute workout 3-5 times a week and it keeps me feeling truly my best.
Oh!!! It just has to be taking a lazy day or afternoon not answering emails or getting anything done. I think those days have to be taken in life every now and again otherwise it all can feel too “scheduled” and too much!
Your favorite way to unwind?
Recently I’ve been on a bath time kick. I have a little bath tray for my cup of herbal tea and watch a tv show with a full blown bubble bath with Epsom salts, essential oils, bath milks and oils, and the works. And I love it.
